Choral Singing in Schools
Ever since the school year 1996-97 the Centre has promoted an important initiative in secondary schools, unprecedented in Italy (but widely practised abroad, especially in English-speaking countries): the creation of school choirs run by conductors coordinated by a person appointed by the Centre.
The Ministry of Education is following this project closely, because it is of considerable educational benefit. Since the 1998-99 school year, the idea has been extended to primary schools.
